A Careful Reprint of Edition, 3 Vols. 1812

Nice copy of this important classic economic work by the Scottish economist and philosopher Adam Smith. Published by Ward, Lock & Co., London. 1870s. The book is bound in full leather brown boards, with gilt borders and gilt design to upper cover. Spine with five raised bands, decorated in gilt. Gilt lettering within red label to second compartment. Marbled endpaper pages, and all page edges.

Book Dimensions: 18 x 12 x 4 cm and Number of Pages: 781

Condition
Firm and well-bound copy. External covers in nice shape, with light wear to corners, and minor rubbing to head of spine. Internally the book is in very good condition. A warded label dated 1879 from ‘S. John’s College’ on inside front cover page. Light foxing to prelims. Text block is clean and bright. Inner hinges are very good, and pages are tightly held at the gutter (Nice Firm & Tidy Copy) (Please see pictures).
