Het is een potloodtekening van een stoel, hyperrealistisch getekend.
Stijlvol werk waarmee hij een alledaags voorwerp als een stoel gedetailleerd weergeeft waardoor het een bijzonder object wordt.

Roger Wittevrongel (geboren op 23 april 1933) is een Belgische schilder, tekenaar en graficus, bekend als een van de voornaamste vertegenwoordigers van het hyperrealisme in België. Zijn vroege werk werd beïnvloed door zijn leermeester Octave Landuyt en vertoonde surrealistische elementen, met thema’s als skeletten en vogelachtige wezens. In de jaren 1960 evolueerde zijn stijl naar een meer figuratieve benadering, waarbij hij zich richtte op architecturale composities en het vrouwelijk naakt, vaak omgeven door alledaagse objecten. Zijn werken kenmerken zich door een sobere kleurstelling, met nadruk op grijstinten en blauw, en een technisch precieze uitvoering.

Zijn werk is opgenomen in diverse musea, waaronder die in Gent, Oostende, Brussel en Luik.  

Zijn oeuvre wordt gekenmerkt door een fascinatie voor de schoonheid van het alledaagse en het verlatene, waarbij hij met een tedere blik objecten en scènes vastlegt die vaak over het hoofd worden gezien. Zijn aandacht voor detail en de liefde voor het onderwerp maken zijn werk tot een pleidooi voor de esthetiek van het gewone. 
Deze stoel is daarvan het perfecte voorbeeld.

Het werk is ingelijst, zit achter beschermend glas en in perfecte staat..
