In the cosmic theatre of the 1970s, Strato launched this watch like a capsule shot into the unknown. A rare and truly otherworldly piece, its elliptical case floats within a double gold-tone frame—part futuristic jewel, part kinetic sculpture.
The dial, a rich, gradient brown, recalls aged leather, vintage car interiors, and the warm, earthy tones of an era where avant-garde design flirted openly with psychedelia. It's minimalist to the core: just time, reduced to its purest form.
Inside beats a manually-wound mechanical movement—still ticking with impressive precision more than five decades later. And for the purists: yes, the black leather strap is original. Soft, worn, and perfectly patinated.
The case is identical to those used in some Eska models, a quiet nod to the era's fascinating web of shared Swiss manufacturing and hidden collaborations. This watch doesn’t just tell time—it captures the bold imagination of a decade when anything seemed possible, even suspending time inside a golden ellipse.
