Informazioni sulla distilleria
La White Horse Distillery era una distilleria di whisky irlandese che operava a Mountrath, nella contea di Laois, in Irlanda.  La distilleria prende il nome da un fiume locale, il White Horse.  Si dice che il fiume stesso debba il suo nome al colore dell'acqua che vi scorreva a causa delle attività di una distilleria situata nel centro della città.

Secondo la tradizione popolare locale, oggi scomparsi, la distilleria e il marchio furono venduti a distillatori scozzesi nel XIX secolo.  Se fosse vero, ciò segnerebbe un interessante cambiamento di fortuna nelle industrie di distillazione dei due paesi, poiché un marchio di whisky White Horse con un nome simile e più duraturo fu fondato in Scozia nel 1861

White Horse, che prende il nome da una famosa locanda di Edimburgo, è un marchio storico che ha nel Lagavulin uno dei suoi componenti chiave. Imbottigliato, secondo le nostre stime, negli anni '60, questo è un perfetto esempio dell'iconica miscela con tappo a molla.
