Tomomi Iwakura was a courtier and politician active from the end of the Edo period to the beginning of the Meiji period. He participated in the Japanese missions to Europe and the United States as an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary, and contributed to the modernization of Japan through his tours of Europe and the United States.﻿

◆100 yen Prince Shotoku 聖徳太子
He is famous for his ability to distinguish the words of 10 people at once. He is one of the most important figures in Japanese history. He has appeared several times on banknotes so far.
This “100 yen” from before and after World War II is a rare item on the market due to its high collectibility.
