Über den Künstler:

Donald Lipski wurde 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, geboren und lebt und arbeitet in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Er erhielt seinen BA von der University of Wisconsin und seinen MFA 1973 von der Cranbrook Academy of Art. Zu seinen Einzelausstellungen zählen das Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York; The Brooklyn Museum, New York; P.S. 1, Long Island City, New York; Capp Street Project, San Francisco, Kalifornien; The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.; Miami Art Museum, Miami, Florida; American Academy, Rom, Italien; und die Bawag Foundation, Wien, Österreich. Zu Lipskis Gruppenausstellungen zählen die Whitney Biennial, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; The New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York; Cranbrook Academy of Art Museum, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota; und das Hudson Museum, Yonkers, New York.
