Louis Haché, artiste belge (1922 – 2013) a marqué le paysage de la bande dessinée et de l'illustration au XXe siècle. Son parcours artistique est jalonné de collaborations notables avec des auteurs de renom, notamment dans le domaine de la bande dessinée. Il fut incontestablement un grand illustrateur dans le domaine de la publicité. Il a ensuite développé une carrière en tant qu’artiste plasticien (peinture).

Après avoir travaillé comme illustrateur pour divers magazines et agences publicitaires, Louis Haché entame sa carrière dans la bande dessinée dans les années 1950. Il rejoint le journal Tintin en 1956, où il illustre des nouvelles et des contes, principalement écrits par Yves Duval, par Cary Page et par Jo Pollart. Il illustre également des récits à vocation didactique, apportant une dimension pédagogique au journal, à l'instar des "Belles Histoires de l'Oncle Paul" dans Spirou.

Collaboration avec Michel Greg : Bob Francval et Djinn

En 1958, Louis Haché collabore avec le scénariste Michel Greg pour créer la série Bob Francval et Djinn dans le périodique français IMA, l'ami des jeunes. Cette série met en scène Bob Francval, un agent spécial d'Interpol, et Djinn, un jeune garçon hindou. Bien que la série n'ait connu que deux récits complets, un troisième intitulé "Danger à vendre" restant inachevé en raison de l'arrêt de la publication, elle est considérée comme un précurseur de la série Bernard Prince de Greg, dessinée plus tard.

L'Aventure des Belges avec Georges-Henri Dumont

En 1957, Louis Haché illustre L'Aventure des Belges, une bande dessinée historique écrite par l'historien Georges-Henri Dumont. Cette œuvre retrace l'histoire de la Belgique depuis la préhistoire jusqu'aux années 1950. Elle est considérée comme la première bande dessinée racontant l'histoire de la Belgique de manière chronologique. Une version mise à jour de cette œuvre est publiée en 1979, avec des contributions graphiques supplémentaires d'Yves Swolfs et Marc Hernu. 

Autres collaborations et contributions

En 1960, Louis Haché illustre quatre romans de littérature jeunesse dans la collection "Marabout Junior", retrouvant ainsi Jean-Jacques Schellens. 
Il réalise également des illustrations pour des publications telles que Le Patriote Illustré et La Libre Belgique. Ses collaborations avec Yves Duval se poursuivent jusqu'en 1966, avec des illustrations pour les nouvelles "Les Égouts de Stredlitz" et "Le Venin de la colère", publiées dans l'édition française du journal Tintin.
