The Macallan Quest, 1 liter, 40%

is a travel retail bottling from Macallan. The brand has created the Quest Collection, which focuses on travel to the most remote corners of the world to bring back the best oak from there. These journeys are reflected in the whisky, which is matured in a mixture of different barrels. The Macallan Quest Collection 1 liter matures in no fewer than four barrels: ex-bourbon barrels and hogsheads as well as barrels made of American and European oak that briefly contained sherry, the so-called 'sherry-seasoned casks'.

The scent of The Quest opens with subtle notes: traces of lemon, milk chocolate and butterscotch. The initial taste is spicy, enveloped in warming layers of oak. This slowly gives way to cinnamon and caramel aromas. The finish combines sweetness with a hint of vanilla.
