Tra il 1991 e il 1999 Guido Guidi produsse molte campagne fotografiche per il CRAF (Centro di Ricerca e Archiviazione Fotografica) di Spilinbergo, Pordenone, mettendo insieme un notevole corpo di immagini.

La sua ricerca fotografica si mosse principalmente su tre linee di ricerca: il lavoro di Pier Paolo Pasolini; il paesaggio e infine le piccole città site nella regione friulana.

Questi lavori si accompagnano ora alle immagini raccolte dall’autore nel 2002 a Trieste e nel 2006 a Gorizia, alla ricerca di confini scomparsi.

"Guardando a est" fissa lo sguardo sulla transizione del territorio, sui cambiamenti che si intravedono tra Italia e Slovenia, tra il mondo latino e quello slavo: un mondo che va costantemente ridefinito.
