Stunning work by Jim Aparo, very well known for his works for Batman amongst others, and his work alongside Bill Sienkiewicz.

Aparo delights with his artwork on this page of Blackgate Quake- this scene set in a prison for dangerous criminals. The guard has just been blown to pieces and the criminals are being released...

The artwork is very well laid out and inked using a variety of great techniques. The page number '18' is stuck on for numbering, and there are publisher markings and artist annotations present.

The page is rubber stamped 'Jim Aparo' as well as with the DC COMICS 1998 Copyright notice.
