Hache en pierre verte datant de la période néolithique. Trésor saharien
Cette hache de combat lithique  polie en roche dure a été travaillée à partir d'un seul bloc de pierre taillé. Une extrémité a une forme arrondie et une autre a un bord tranchant.
Les haches des cultures néolithiques étaient utilisées comme armes de combat. 
Elles étaient étaient utilisées aussi bien pour la chasse que pour la guerre.
La découverte archéologique de l'industrie lithique (outils en pierre) est un signe évident de l'activité et du progrès de l'homme. 
Au cours de la période néolithique, l'industrie de la pierre atteint un haut degré de compétence et d'évolution (en fait, le nom même de "néolithique" - nouvelle pierre - répond à une nouvelle façon de travailler la pierre, qui sera polie par opposition à la pierre taillée du paléolithique, un changement qui représente une véritable révolution technologique). Au cours de la période néolithique, on commence à fabriquer des faucilles, des houes et des haches comme celle présentée maintenant, qui facilitent les processus d'agriculture et d'élevage et permettent de dominer l'environnement.
En conséquence, les populations paysannes ont sécurisé leurs moyens de subsistance et ont ainsi pu se sédentariser.

Cette hache provient d'une ancienne collection privée, elle a été trouvée au sahara.  
Elle est dans un très bon état de conservation, elle est polie sur toute sa surface, elle a une ancienne patine.
