Cabinet - Oak

Beautiful Utrecht ‘Toogkast’, arched cabinet from the 17th century. Stunning quarter-sawn oak panels with that characteristic pattern that occurs when the wood is sawn in this way. Right to the middle. Then the food vanes become visable. Also called the mirrors in the wood. Beautiful arches in the doors and also in the sides. What stands out are the pilasters next to the doors with those deep grooved cannelures. Because they go around the corner against the sides, they no longer look like flat pilasters but pillars. Beautiful detail. The carving is very professionally and artistic done. In the hood we see 'grunts' , drop-shaped ornaments that are characteristic of the Renaissance. Original lock and working key. Beautiful quarter-sawn panels on the shelves inside. Transport In the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, France and Spain, we transport the furniture in packing blankets and store it indoors. The rest land on a wooden pallet in sturdy cardboard and splash-proof foil and delivered to the front door. We charge a higher rate for islands, delivery is to the door, please help because the driver is alone, the driver is not allowed inside or up the stairs. The carrier will contact you to deliver. He has your telephone number and email address. >>> These transports usually do not have a track and trace system. I am entering an empty code for Catawiki's computer system. You cannot track the transport. Take photos of the packaging upon receipt to rule out damage during transport. Usually it is not possible to ship within three days, you can ignore Catawiki's reminders. It is usually between three and seven days in transit. You approve and sign for good reception with the driver. You must report any damage immediately in this form. This is necessary for insurance. Damage that occurs afterwards is your own responsibility. An 'empty' form means good reception.
