Very beautiful French key-wound pocket watch, signed Loyer in Saintes, dating from the early 19th century (around 1820). It is a handcrafted piece featuring a verge movement, emblematic of the period's watchmaking. The case is made of solid silver, stamped, with a matching chain.

Manufacturer / Signature: Rent in Saintes
Mechanical keychain pocket watch
Movement: Verge, manual winding with key.
Dial: White enamel, Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes.
Hands: Breguet type, blued steel (probable)
Case: Solid silver, hallmarked 'BF under crown,' double hinged back (screw-back type).
Serial number: 2644
Small chain: made of solid silver
Diameter: approximately 47 mm (excluding the bail).
Condition: Very good overall cosmetic condition. The movement is complete but functional.

Hand-engraved cock, a typical decoration of high-quality watches from the early 19th century.
