Este adorno arquitectónico barroco del siglo XVIII es una pieza excepcional, testimonio del esplendor artístico y decorativo de la época. Tallado meticulosamente en madera y dorado en oro, exhibe una ornamentación rica en volutas, motivos florales y formas curvadas que reflejan el dinamismo característico del barroco. Su estructura dividida en dos cuerpos sugiere que formaba parte de un conjunto mayor, probablemente como remate de un retablo, un frontón de altar o la decoración de un espacio sacro.

El dorado, aunque presenta signos de desgaste natural por el paso del tiempo, conserva su brillo y profundidad, lo que indica un proceso de aplicación de pan de oro sobre base de yeso, una técnica común en la época para lograr acabados opulentos. Este tipo de adornos no solo embellecía los templos y palacios barrocos, sino que también simbolizaba la magnificencia y el poder a través de su ornamentación exuberante.
