These nuggets come from the desert region of Tiris Zemmour in northern Mauritania, more than a hundred kilometers from an area called Guelb Ndour.
Gold mining in this country was reserved for a large industrial company.
But since 2016, individual exploitation has been authorized through the use of metal detectors.
I propose them as I discovered them; I have only cleaned them with soapy water.
The gold of this region is quite pure; generally, its purity is around 970 to 980 thousandths, which corresponds to 23.00 to 23.50 carats.
Although gold mining has become one of Mauritania's main resources, nuggets are quite rare because almost all the gold is melted into bars, which are then sent to Dubai.
All photos are taken in natural daylight.
I photographed these gems as sincerely and accurately as possible using daylight.
Please note that differences in screen settings and ambient lighting can lead to variations in perceived color, saturation, and tones.
The nuggets you will receive are of course the ones in the photos.
