A beautiful and very large (height, 4.5 cm, diameter, approx. 34.5 cm) Delft Blue wall plate from the 1950s with the text: 

'I feel like a king with stew with Unox sausage'. 

The plate was made available to butchers in the 1950s by the manufacturer Unox (Netherlands) to hang for decoration in the shop area of ​​the butcher shops. The plate shows a gentleman eating stew with (Unox) sausage. The gentleman looks very blissfully at the piece of sausage that is pricked on his fork. The plate was made by Aardwerkfabriek N.V de Sphinx, v/h Petrus Regout in Maastricht - Holland. 
The mark of this pottery manufacturer is also shown on the back of the plate. There are only a limited number of plates issued by Unox, which means that this plate can rightly be called a very rare collector's item!

Please check the photographs carefully, there are two chips at the back, otherwise it is in condition, used with small signs of ageing..
