This Georgian pendant brooch is a wonderful little remnant of its era, in which romantic jewels with a symbolic meaning were popular. The 'Crowned Heart' was a popular motive in 18th-century jewellery, symbolizing that love rules all.

Behind a glass panel in the heart's center, we see the monogram 'MP', crowned by a laurel wreath. 

Size: 28 x 22 mm, excluding the jump ring.

Weight: 6.38 grams.

Hallmarks: Acid tested as 9k gold.

Condition: In antique condition with some wear, consistent with its age. The brooch fitting was added later in the 19th Century, and the top garnet has a chip, as can be seen in the pictures.
