Anchiornithidae is a family of small, feathered dinosaurs that lived during the Late Jurassic period. These creatures are significant for their bird-like features, suggesting an early stage in the evolution of flight. Anchiornithids had long feathers on their arms, legs, and tails, with some species displaying evidence of four wings, potentially used for gliding or balance, which making them crucial to understanding the transition from dinosaurs to modern birds.

This specimen exhibits a high degree of completeness, with clearly visible orbital bones and fine dentition. The skeletal elements remain articulated from the skull down to the tip of the tail. Furthermore, the posture appears natural—characterized by a slightly lowered head and an arched tail—consistent with the so-called “death pose,” which typically indicates rapid burial and excellent preservation conditions.

The slab has a soft, natural hue and represents a typical fine-grained sedimentary layer from the Yixian Formation. The reverse side has been reinforced with a wooden panel for stability, making it secure and suitable for display. Specimens of this kind are of great significance for research into the origin of birds and the evolution of feathers, and they also possess strong potential for both exhibition and private collection.
