An excellent page drawn for part 16 of Strontium Dog; Portrait of a Mutant, written by Alan Grant, drawn by Carlos Ezquerra and lettered by Steve Potter.

This stunning artwork has a huge panel featuring the story's main protagonist (Johnny Alpha) and his team of mutant revolutionaries, fighting back and aiding his jail break. The revolutionaries on this page are: Clacton Fuzz, Middenface McNulty, The Torso from Newcastle and General Stud Boyce.

This was published in Prog (issue) #218 of the Science Fiction comic 2000ad on 27th June 1981. The comic, which is still being published today is a hit and a large part of the alternative culture of Britain in the late 1970s and 1980s- collectors worldwide are taking more note of these fantastic publications and original artworks, especially early pieces and artwork from key story lines such as this.

This is drawn onto Bristol board in a variety of pens and inks, and has an official 2000ad sticker with the issue information handwritten on the reverse of the page. The sticker has yellowed part of the page slightly as is visible in the photographs. All speech bubbles are original and there is some pencil in the margins from the publisher.

Early 2000ad comics as well as artworks are becoming more and more sought after by fans in the U.K. in the E.U and also in the U.S.A.
