A beautifully preserved illuminated manuscript leaf from a 15th-century Book of Hours, written and decorated by hand on high-quality vellum (calfskin). This leaf features five illuminated initials in red, blue, and burnished gold, along with decorative floral marginal accents in blue and gold.

The text is in Latin and was part of a private devotional book used for daily prayers by laypeople in medieval Europe.

Origin: France or the Southern Netherlands (Flanders)

Text: Includes liturgical phrases such as "Ad te clamavi", "Domine exaudi orationem meam", and "Ora pro nobis", common in the Liturgy of the Hours or the Litany of the Saints.
Dimensions: approx. 15 × 10 cm
Condition: Excellent. Clean and bright vellum, strong colors, minimal handling wear. Light cockling as expected for medieval vellum.
