“Medusa Reale” – Busto contemporaneo firmato Pythia

Immobile e maestosa, Medusa si staglia in questo busto come un’icona eterna, liberata dal mito per diventare simbolo di bellezza pericolosa e potere femminile. Il volto, scolpito in un bianco diafano e lucente, è quello di una divinità silenziosa, consapevole della propria forza. Gli occhi socchiusi evocano un’ipnosi antica, ma la minaccia è silenziosa, quasi regale.

I capelli, trasformati in serpenti intrecciati d’oro, non sibilano: sussurrano. Come ornamenti barocchi e sacri, si muovono attorno al volto come aureola di una santa pagana, in un equilibrio perfetto tra sacro e profano. Il busto, anch’esso dorato, scivola verso la base come un flusso continuo di luce metallica. L’oro non è solo materia, ma messaggio: eternità, desiderio, pericolo.

Il piedistallo stesso diventa parte dell’opera, contaminato da colature e pennellate dorate che sembrano emergere direttamente da un rituale antico, un gesto che Pythia compie per suggellare la sua visione. Non è solo una Medusa: è un trono, è una reliquia, è una dea moderna.

Firmata da Pythia, figlio dell’Etna e del mare, questa scultura è un’opera unica, dove l’equilibrio tra scultura e gesto pittorico crea un’armonia spiazzante. Ogni serpente racconta una storia, ogni riflesso d’oro un incantesimo. Perfetta per chi cerca arte che non decora, ma domina.
