Description

Rare antique travel trunk sold by the historic Au Bon Marché department store in Paris – one of the world’s first luxury department stores, founded in the 19th century. This piece features its original brass lock plate clearly stamped:

“AU BON MARCHÉ – PARIS”

The exterior is covered in timeworn canvas with leather-reinforced edges and riveted iron fittings. The trunk has clear signs of age: scuffs, wear, and scratches, which give it unique vintage character. The interior is original, with worn linen lining, some stains and a faded red mark, typical of trunks from this period.

It can function as a decorative statement piece, coffee table, or unique storage solution. A fantastic collector’s item for vintage and French heritage lovers.
