Erg mooie en decoratieve katrol. Deze industriële katrol is in de haven van Rotterdam gebruikt bij het laden en lossen. De katrol dateert waarschijnlijk van het laatste kwart van de 19de eeuw en is (met haak) 43cm hoog, 17cm breed, 10,5cm diep en weegt 7kg(!!). Het is daarmee een bijzonder grote en zwaar uitgevoerde katrol, die moet zijn gebruikt voor extreem zware lasten. Nog steeds zou je er een auto mee kunnen takelen!

De katrol is nog 100% origineel en lijkt zo uit een 19de eeuws haventafereel te zijn meegenomen. In elk interieur is dit havenwerktuig een erg decoratief item en praatstuk, maar ook kan hij gebruikt worden om keukengereedschap aan op te hangen, of een kapstok, of lamp.

Ergens in zijn leven is de katrol mosterd-geel geschilderd. Waarschijnlijk om hem tegen de weerselementen te beschermen. De verf in de kleur mosterd-geel zal toevallig voorradig zijn geweest. Erg mooi is de patina van de katrol, met de verweerde verf enhet verweerde metaal. heel charmant is ook het plaatje hardboard dat ooit tegen de zijkant is geslagen met kleine spijkertjes, om de rol soepel te kunnen laten draaien.
De katrol heeft één houten rol, die nog steeds soepel draait.

Deze katrol is niet een heel decoratief voorwerp uit een oud industrieel verloeden, je zou 'm nog steeds kunnen gebruiken als katrol, maar ook zou hij kunnen dienen als ophangpunt voor een lamp, of voor bijvoorbeeld gereedschap, of keuken-materialen. het is een bijzonder decoratief voorwerp!

De katrol wordt vakkundig ingepakt en verzekerd verzonden.
