Description:
A rare and elegant Rosenthal presentation vase, richly decorated with hand-painted pink roses and an elaborate, baroque-style gilded monogram. The vase features gold-accented handles and lid, and a striking lavender-blue ground.

indicating that it was likely a gift for a special occasion, such as a wedding or anniversary.

Marked on the base with the green Rosenthal Selb-Bavaria mark with crossed lines and crown, used between 1907 and 1910. The vase itself, however, was clearly decorated or inscribed later, in 1918, which suggests that the porcelain blank was produced earlier and customized to order.

Condition:
Very good overall condition. No cracks, chips or restorations.
Minor wear to the gilding on the underside of the lid and one handle, consistent with age and use.
The colours remain vivid and all hand-painted decorations are beautifully preserved.
