Tang Dynasty Pottery Fat Lady Figure - with Thermoluminescence Test! Ca. AD 618 - 907 A charming pottery figure of a court lady with a full, rounded body and voluminous robe. She stands on a flat rectangular base with both hands clasped at the chest, and wears a long red skirt and a pale blouse with turquoise sleeves. Her face is modelled with a serene expression, with red-painted lips and traces of black pigment outlining the hair, which is piled into an elaborate coiffure with a central knot. This piece has been precisely dated using a Thermo Luminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla. The report will accompany the lot.
