Bella scultura lignea policroma raffigurante una Santa Martire in posizione eretta e a figura intera.

La statua rappresenta una giovane martire vergine, e tra le più compatibili con questa iconografia c’è Santa Barbara, frequentemente rappresentata con calice e palma. Il calice simboleggia la fede eucaristica e la Comunione ricevuta prima del martirio; a volte non ha la torre (suo simbolo principale), specialmente in statue più semplici o rurali.

L'opera è scolpita in maniera eccellente e la policromia si presenta con una bella colorazione ed in buono stato.
La statua è in legno scolpito, scavata posteriormente (tipica tecnica per alleggerire il peso e prevenire fessurazioni interne). Questo tipo di lavorazione è molto comune tra il XVII e XVIII secolo e spesso usato nelle botteghe artigianali del Nord e Centro Italia.
La figura è descritta con frontalità marcata ed espressione sobria, i gesti sono contenuti. Le tinte sono le più tipiche usate per le sculture lignee raffiguranti personaggi femminili. L'impostazione è perfettamente verticale ed i panneggi degli indumenti sono eseguiti con una resa piuttosto geometrica.
L'opera, pur mantenendo i connotati stilistici del '500 si colloca tra la fine del XVII e la prima metà del XVIII secolo ed è in buone condizioni generali, si notano alcuni punti di restauro nella policromia e le uniche mancanze strutturali sono il pollice della mano sinistra, oltre ad una riparazione con visibili mancanze nel braccio destro, che appare anche abbastanza fragile e delicato.
La Santa poggia su un bel basamento coevo.
