Half meter beautifully preserved bony fish of the species Vinctifer Comptoni from Brazil.

Specimen preserves many details are wonderfully visible such as eyes, mouth, teeth, gills, scales and several fins.
 
The Brazilian state of Ceará is renowned for fossil fish in nodule form. A nodule is a lime deposit in the form of a tuber around a dead animal which makes for excellent preservation. The well-preserved fossil fish are from the lower Cretaceous (Aptian and Albian), and about 80 million years old.

The fish measures 52 cm long on 55,5 cm nodule.
There are several restorations in three different areas. 
Let's say the restoration accounts for approximately 20%.
Despite the various restorations, the piece is exceptional given its size.
