Rare Swiss Pocket Watch – Phenix –purrenroy swiss -  Mechanical Hand-Wound – ca. 1930s silver case  large size

This is a fine example of a vintage Swiss pocket watch made by Phenix, a reputable brand known for producing high-quality timepieces during the early 20th century.
history: Historical Background – Phenix
Founded in 1873 in Porrentruy, Switzerland, Phenix Watch Company quickly earned a solid reputation for producing reliable, high-precision timepieces. The brand specialized in pocket watches and later wristwatches, often equipping them with in-house calibres known for robustness and accuracy.

By the early 20th century, Phenix began producing chronometer-quality pocket watches, recognized for their fine regulation and reliable movements. These watches were favored by professionals and collectors alike, particularly models featuring a micrometric regulator and shock protection.

Phenix later merged with other Jura-based watchmakers (Revue Thommen, Vulcain, and Buser), forming the Revue Thommen group in the 1960s.

Today, vintage Phenix chronometer pocket watches remain sought-after for their Swiss craftsmanship, technical excellence, and historical value in the evolution of precision watchmaking.

Movement: In visually good condition, balance wheel oscillates freely Excelent dial and chrystal

Working condition: The movement runs when wound, but has not been tested for accuracy or power reserve. As with all vintage watches, a service is recommended for daily use.
