Dieses außergewöhnliche Set besteht aus zwei kunstvoll verzierten Amulettkästchen aus Afghanistan, die ins 19. Jahrhundert datiert werden. Beide Kästchen bestehen aus Silber und sind mit filigranen floralen Mustern sowie kalligrafischen Inschriften in arabischer Schrift graviert. Solche Amulettkästchen wurden traditionell als Schutzamulette getragen und dienten dazu, kleine religiöse Texte oder Gebete aufzubewahren.

Die rechteckigen Kästchen verfügen über mehrere kleine Ösen an der Oberseite, die eine Befestigung an einer Kette oder einem Band ermöglichen. Beide Stücke sind handgefertigt und zeigen die hohe Kunstfertigkeit der afghanischen Silberschmiedekunst jener Zeit.
