Eliane Thiollier fait partie des peintres de la deuxième Ecole de Paris, l’Ecole des Grands Figuratifs français d’après-guerre.
Dès son apprentissage à l’Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, Thiollier expose sa vision du monde tout en harmonie. Seule l’intéresse la re-création d’un univers équilibré, solide, où la valeur majeure est l’authenticité.
Elle structure ses œuvres comme un architecte bâtit une maison. Par sa palette ocre et rouge elle les fait vibrer, offrant ainsi un indicible apaisement. Thiollier a d’abord posé son chevalet en Provence, puis en Camargue.
Grande voyageuse, elle est allée capter la vérité des masaïs du Kenya, des femmes du Mexique rural, des marchandes de la Thaïlande traditionnelle, des villageois de l’Inde ou du Maroc, pour donner sa vision, éblouissante et sereine.
