Vintage Blue Glazed Ceramic Bowl – Mid-Century Modern Style – Unsigned

Description:
Beautiful vintage ceramic bowl featuring a striking deep cobalt blue glaze with darker accents. The rim is decorated with a repeated sculptural pattern, giving it a bold mid-century modern aesthetic.

Period: Likely mid-20th century (1960s–70s)

Origin: Possibly Scandinavian or West German studio pottery (unsigned)

Material: Glazed ceramic

Colour: Deep cobalt blue with darker highlights

Condition: Very good vintage condition, no visible cracks or chips (please see photos for details)

Markings: Unsigned

2nd Bowl
Beautiful hand-thrown ceramic bowl by Charles Cart, produced under his Le Cyclope – Émaux des Glaciers studio in Annecy-le-Vieux, France, circa 1960s.

This piece showcases Cart’s signature lava glaze technique: a rich cobalt and turquoise blue background with cratered, volcanic textures and contrasting dark brown/cream abstract motifs. Each work from this atelier is unique, with an organic, sculptural quality.

Origin: France

Maker: Charles Cart (Le Cyclope – Émaux des Glaciers)

Period: Mid-20th century (circa 1960s)

Material: Ceramic with enamel glaze

Technique: Hand-thrown and enamelled

Condition: Very good vintage condition, minor signs of age consistent with studio pottery of the era. No cracks or repairs.
