Reprint Cigarettes Week End by Paul Colin framed in a white frame.

Paul Colin, an illustrious French poster artist born in 1892, wielded his brush to merge the dynamic realms of theater and fine art. Renowned for his bold lines, brilliant use of color and Art Deco influence, Colin captured the vitality of Parisian life with a sharp graphic sensibility that was both avant-garde and visually dazzling. His work evokes a sense of glamorous charm, often tinged with a poignant nostalgia for the golden age of Parisian entertainment.

This is one of the most inventive of Paul Colin's commercial posters. Against a grass-green background, suggestive of the leisure implied by the product's name, Colin shows an almost bird's-eye view of three people relaxing and enjoying their cigarettes. The persepctive, the colors and the use of the diagonal provide a very striking image. Colin may have been inspired by the similarity the motion of opening a hinged pack of cigarettes has with unfolding a deck chair.
