A delightful late 19th century magnifying glass mounted on a silver handle modeled as the grip of a 17th century rapier. Stamped to the rim with German assay mark for 800 silver, after 1886. The frame of the lens is made of brass.

Condition: A few bumps, nicks and scratches from age and use, see pictures. The crossguard of the sword with damage. Minor wear commensurate with age. 

This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
