A very fine antique  master 4/4 violin, labeled Carlo Antonio Testore figlio maggiore del fu Carlo Giuseppe in Contrada larga al fegno dell'Aquila Milano 1737. The instrument is in ready to play condition with some old repaired cracks, grafted scroll, new ebony set up, new bridge and new strings. The violin has an excellent straight high grained spruce of the top and one piece back of softly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. Very rich amber color varnish over golden ground. The whole length of the violin is 594 mm and the back 360 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 166 mm; middle bouts: 111 mm; lower bouts: 200 mm. The sound is very good, powerful, sweet, rich, suitable for soloist. Shipping worldwide insured
