Leo Setz

Henri Seghers Jr. was een Belgische (Antwerpse) kunstenaar geboren in 1848 en gestorven in 1919. Hij was de zoon van de kaligraaf Henri Seghers Sr. en was  kunstschilder, tekenaar, aquarellist en etser. 

Hij verwierf bekendheid door zijn marineschilderijen. Zijn werken houden niet enkel een artistieke, maar ook een documentaire waarde in van de scheepvaart tussen 1870 tot 1914.

In deze door het impressionisme beinvloede aquarel verbeeldt Seghers het bosrijke landschap in de omgeving van het Nederlandse Scheveningen
