Murano Pulegoso Glass Lamp/Vase – Venini, ca. 1950s

Elegant decorative lamp/vase made of pulegoso glass from Murano, by the prestigious glassworks Venini.
The glass, in white “lattimo” with the characteristic bubbles created by the “pulegoso” technique, features a refined tulip-shaped body with a flared base.

The underside retains its original label from the Florentine retailer Sarsini – Firenze, Via Parione 13r, well-known in the 1950s for selling Venini glass, further confirming its high-quality provenance.

A piece of great charm and collectible value, representing the excellence of post-war Murano glassmaking. Already wired as a table lamp, but also suitable as a decorative vase or sculptural centerpiece.

Material: hand-blown pulegoso glass
Pulegoso glass is characterized by small air bubbles trapped inside the material, which give the piece a dynamic, three-dimensional effect. This technique makes each piece unique, as the arrangement of the bubbles changes depending on how it is worked. The trapped bubbles, visible on the surface, give the glass an interesting texture that reflects light in an evocative way.

Depending on how much natural light the lamp is exposed to, the brightness of the glass varies, constantly giving the surface new shades.
