An elegant Art Deco vanity compact by Cartier, Paris–Londres–New York, crafted in black enamel with 18kt gold and silver-gilt mounts. The exterior is centred with a carved jadeite plaque, framed by twenty rose-cut diamonds in geometric settings. Two carved jadeite cabochons, each accented with a bezel-set rose-cut diamond, serve as push-buttons for the refined spring-hinged opening mechanism — a signature Cartier innovation of the early 20th century.

Inside, the compact retains compartments for powder and lipstick together with a fitted mirror, showing light age-appropriate blemishes while remaining functional.
