Zogenaamde Generaal veldpost brief 'Armee du Nord' verzonden door de Opperbevelhebber van het Noordelijk leger naar het Gouvernement van de Bataafse Republiek te Utrecht. Met o.a. de tekst:
"ik heb Divisie Generaal Grouchy gelast u te informeren  over onze plannen en de locaties van onze eenheden!". Gedateerd - Le 24 florèal - (het 4e jaar de la République. Deze datum is volgens de Kalender der Franse Republiek, ingevoerd op 5 oct. 1796. Zie verder tekst op het kavel.
Prachtig geïllustreerde brief en per militaire koerier verzonden.
Tevens op de achterzijden een prachtig rood lakzegel "Administration Armèe du Nord". 
Mooi stuk met interessante inhoud!
De foto's vormen een onderdeel van de beschrijving, alles is afgebeeld, bekijk deze goed.
