Philatelic Hobby Week was established in 1947 to widely publicize the artistic and cultural value of postage stamps and promote the hobby of stamp collecting. It refers to the week that includes April 20th, Postal Service Memorial Day. During this period, commemorative stamps featuring outstanding Japanese works of art are issued, sparking renewed interest in stamp collecting. Issuance was suspended for four years from 1950 to 1953. This collection includes: Philatelic Hobby Week 1948: Beauty with a Looking Back　見返り美人 1949: Geese in the Moon　月に雁 Every year from 1958 to 2006 (one or two stamps each) One commemorative sheet from the 2001 International Philatelic Exhibition of Japan This is a beautiful, unused collection that has been compiled over many years.
