A fine antique double-handled silver patera (libation bowl / serving vessel) crafted in the Kingdom of Sardinia during the mid-19th century (1824–1872).

This elegant piece is made of 800 silver and features a broad oval form with scalloped foot and twin side handles. The decoration is richly embossed in a classical style, reflecting the refined silversmithing of the Sardinian state before Italian unification.

Hallmarks:

Moor’s Head with Crown – official hallmark of the Kingdom of Sardinia (used 1824–1872), certifying 800 silver fineness.

Goldsmith’s Mark – initials “IW 13” (likely Italian silversmith working under the Sardinian guild system).

Assay control punch visible near the rim.
