Set of two wall models: ‘Human Urinary System’ and ‘Skin Incision’
A set of educational aids on human anatomy, made in the form of bas-reliefs. Similar models were produced in the USSR for schools, medical institutes and biology classrooms in the mid-20th century.
Human Urinary SystemBas-relief depicting the kidneys, ureters and bladder. Accompanied by a label with the inscription:‘104. Human Urinary System. Bas-relief diagram. Non-detachable model in natural size’.Brightly coloured organs and vessels demonstrate the structure of the system in cross-section.
Cross-section of skin (human)Detailed model depicting the layers of skin, hair follicles, sebaceous and sweat glands, blood vessels and nerve endings. There is a legend at the bottom with labels for all elements.
Material: painted plastic.
