Val Saint Lambert – Art Déco-Kristallvase in Rubinrot – Entwurf von Joseph Simon – Belgien – 1920er–1930er Jahre

Beschreibung:
Seltene und eindrucksvolle Kristallvase im Art Déco-Stil, entworfen von Joseph Simon (1874–1960), einem der bedeutendsten Designer der renommierten belgischen Manufaktur Val Saint Lambert.
Diese Vase stammt aus der stilprägenden Phase der 1920er–1930er Jahre und zeigt typische Merkmale Simons: eine streng geometrische Formgebung, facettierter Schliff und dekorative Zonen im Kontrastspiel von Licht und Tiefe.

Technik:

Mundgeblasenes Kristallglas

Mit rubinrotem Überfang, anschließend tief geschliffen

Mehrzonige Struktur mit vertikalen Rillen, geschliffenen „Oliven“ und horizontalen Bändern

Polierte Flächen für maximalen Lichtbrechungseffekt

Zustand:

Sehr guter Zustand

Keine Risse oder Restaurierungen, minimale altersbedingte Kratzer 

Keine sichtbare Signatur (bei Serienproduktion dieser Zeit nicht unüblich)

Maße:

Höhe: ca. 22 cm

Durchmesser (breiteste Stelle): ca. 15 cm

Gewicht: schwer – typisch für massives Kristallglas

Besonderheit:
Die rubinrote Ausführung ist besonders selten und bei Sammlern begehrt, da sie aufwendiger in der Herstellung war als andere Farben wie Blau oder Grün.
Ein exzellentes Beispiel für hochwertiges belgisches Design der Zwischenkriegszeit.
