Antieke zilveren swaggerstick van het regiment Royal Engineers, Engeland, Londen 1898/1899. De bolvormige knop is uitgevoerd in sterling zilver met het wapen van de Royal Engineers, omkranst door het devies “Honi soit qui mal y pense” en het Victoriaanse monogram “VR”. De zilvermontage is gemerkt met het meesterteken van Saunders & Shepherd, de London stadskeur (leopard’s head), de lion passant voor sterling en de datumletter C, overeenkomend met 1898/1899. De ceremoniële wandelstok werd gedragen door officieren als onderdeel van het parade-uniform en behoort tot de laat-Victoriaanse periode. Houten schacht; aan de voet ontbreekt de ferrule (manco). Herkomst Engeland, Londen. Lengte 85,5 cm, diameter knop 3 cm.

Item is in redelijk goede staat voor de leeftijd.
