A very fine old 4/4 violin, labeled Leandro Bisiach della scuola Cremonese fece in Milano Leandro Bisiach LBM 1896. This instrument is in good condition with some old repaired crack on top. The violin shows a very careful selection of wood in the making. The violin has an excellent straight high to medium grained spruce of the top and one piece back of strongly flamed maple with matched sides. Rich golden amber varnish with tears and wears shows an amazing wooden choice. Inlaid purfling on top and back. The whole length of the violin is 594 mm and the back 356 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 168 mm; middle bouts: 115 mm; lower bouts: 208 mm. Full size. The sound is very good, deep, rich, powerful, suitable for soloist.
