Esta moneda de plata fue emitida por el Reino de Sajonia dentro del Imperio Alemán, bajo el reinado de Federico Augusto III. El anverso muestra el retrato del monarca con leyenda en letras capitales, mientras que el reverso presenta el escudo imperial alemán con el águila coronada. Es una pieza emblemática del periodo previo a la Primera Guerra Mundial y uno de los diseños más representativos del sistema monetario imperial.
