pequeños golpes en a base y en la botella por el paso del tiempo 

EL URANIO EN EL VIDRIO:
El uranio se ha utilizado para colorear vidrio desde el siglo XIX. Generalmente, la proporción de uranio varía entre niveles de traza y un 2% en peso.
El vidrio de uranio dejó de producirse a raíz de la importancia estratégica del uranio durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial y posterior Guerra Fría. En la actualidad podemos encontrarlo en museos, tiendas de antigüedades o incluso en nuestras casas! 
 
Después de esta breve introducción, vamos con la ciencia. El fenómeno físico que da lugar a ese resplandor verde se conoce como FLUORESCENCIA y no es de origen nuclear, sino que se debe a los electrones que orbitan los núcleos de uranio.
Los materiales fluorescentes son capaces de absorber fotones de alta energía (rayos gamma, rayos X, rayos UV, etc.) y, posteriormente, emitir parte de esa energía en forma de fotones de distinta longitud de onda, por ejemplo, dentro del espectro visible (luz verde, azul, etc.).

Para los amantes del gin tonic: La tónica está aromatizada con una sustancia llamada quinina, la cual es fluorescente. De ahí que tu gin tonic se vea de color azul bajo ciertas condiciones de iluminación.
