Caja inglesa para cubiertos en madera de Palma de Caoba barnizada y pies en bolas de latón.

La caja sigue los modelos tradicionales de este tipo de contenedor del XVIII con una forma serpenteante en la parte frontal y tapa que deja ver en el interior unas rejillas de madera para colocar ordenadamente los cubiertos.

Normalmente este tipo de cajas pertenecían al capitán de un barco, como se puede apreciar por la estrella de los vientos realizada en maderas incrustadas en el interior de la tapa.

Se trata de una pieza de gran calidad y muy buena conservación en función de la antigüedad.
