Beautiful coprolite from the Upper Cretaceous deposits of southern Morocco. It is a very interesting specimen, because it can be observed how it is composed of layers of digested fish scales. This type of structure is only found in fossil excrements of piscivorous animals. In this case, it could belong to either a Spinosaurus or a crocodile. Either way it is a very interesting specimen. This type of fossil can extract important information about the diet of these huge reptiles and piscivorous dinosaurs of the Cretaceous. In the same way, from the study of coprolites, interesting conclusions can also be drawn about the vegetation of the moment, because many pollen grains are preserved inside the coprolites.
All our fossils comes with Certificate of Authenticity.
