Scientific name: Unidentified piscivorous incthyophagous Reptile or Dinosaur coprolite with digested fish scales. So, or crocodile or Spinosaurus. Location: Taouz, South Morocco Geological Formation: Ifezouane Fm Age: Upper Cretaceous, Cenomanian stage ( 96 million years) Size: 2,8cm Ref: 20551 Beautiful coprolite from the Upper Cretaceous deposits of southern Morocco. It is a very interesting specimen, because it can be observed how it is composed of layers of digested fish scales. This type of structure is only found in fossil excrements of piscivorous animals. In this case, it could belong to either a Spinosaurus or a crocodile. Either way it is a very interesting specimen. This type of fossil can extract important information about the diet of these huge reptiles and piscivorous dinosaurs of the Cretaceous. In the same way, from the study of coprolites, interesting conclusions can also be drawn about the vegetation of the moment, because many pollen grains are preserved inside the coprolites. All our fossils comes with Certificate of Authenticity. IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFORMATION: All items with value between 15 and 800 Euros are now impossible to get them shipped to USA due to the new negulataions of the USA customs administration. Sorry for the inconveniences.
