Una antica Chiesuola con bussola del produttore Tedesco C.Plath Hamburg.
La bussola è appesa in una cassa in ottone con base in legno con  una illuminazione elettrica all'esterno.
La bussola funziona ancora in modo eccellente anche se è asciutta.
Sono state aggiunte molte foto in modo da poter valutare chiaramente le condizioni della bussola e della cassa considerate che io ho solo dato una pulita sommaria ma volendo si può fare una pulizia più profonda.Misure: alta 33 cm (Senza lampadina) x23x20 cm.Lampadina non compresa nel lotto.La chiesuola è la custodia che protegge e sostiene la bussola magnetica navale, fornendo anche i meccanismi necessari per compensare l'influenza dello scafo metallico sull'ago magnetico. 
Componenti:
Tipicamente include una bussola a liquido (come quella visibile nell'immagine), magneti di compensazione per annullare le deviazioni fisse e sfere in ferro dolce (sfere di Thompson) per correggere le deviazioni variabili. 
Illuminazione:
Le chiesuole sono spesso dotate di un sistema di illuminazione, come i portalampada a petrolio o elettrici come nel caso del lotto in questione per consentire la lettura della bussola anche di notte.
