Paul Joseph Constantin Gabriël (1828–1903) was a Dutch landscape painter, a key figure in the Hague School, known for his vivid, atmospheric polder landscapes, often featuring windmills and canals. His work, influenced by the Barbizon School and his friend Willem Roelofs, emphasized realistic depictions of nature and a distinctive use of colour within the Hague School's predominantly muted palette.
